April 4, 2020
9am – 5pm (1-hour lunch break)

It’s A Dog’s World ~ Sumner, WA

This workshop is for any agility competitor looking to bridge the gap between training & trialing. Attendees will learn what it means to “train like you trial, trial like you train”, how to improve communication, create ring-sustainable behaviors, and to have more success on an agility course.

(Registration will open Wednesday, February 19th at 8AM)
Check out our trailer videos below!

Who is it for?

Any & all agility teams! Any experience level (dog & human) can be accommodated for, so long as you feel your dog can work in the environment (group & individual training).
Some exercises will have all 12 dogs on the floor (6 with each instructor)

Working Spot vs. Auditing Spot

This is a training seminar, so there will be no shortage of geeking-out and discussing the ins and outs of a large variety of topics that Megan and Sarah feel critical to bridging the gap between training & trialing.

Working teams will be split into two groups. Each group works with both instructors. There will be group discussion and lecture before and after splitting into working sessions.

Auditors have the sweet deal of sitting in & joining the discussions, as well as being able to observe 12 different dog and handler teams working through the skills presented over the weekend.

What will you learn?

Training is always individualized for each learner (human and dog!) but we will cover:

  • What is causing the gap between training and trialing?
  • ABC’s & Loopy Training
  • Transports
  • Reinforcement Strategies
  • Applying loopy training to your current class environment
  • Myth-busting!

What does it cost?

Working spots – $250

Working Spots are limited to 12 teams. Working spots will also have access to pre-seminar notes & information, to ensure you get the most out of your working spot!

Auditing Spots – $125

Auditing Spots are limited to 20 people. Auditors will also have access to pre-seminar notes & information, to ensure you get the most out of you auditing spot!
