Welcome! If you’re reading this, you’ve successfully made it to my blog! This blog is a new beginning for me. As I make my plans for my move to the Pacific Northwest this summer, I  also make plans for a Dog Agility School. This is how Synergy Dog Sports came to be. Kristie has done an incredible job with the design and answering all of my silly questions. It’s going to be a big year for me! Currently, what you’ll find on the website so far, is a calendar of events so that, if you’re local, you can schedule private lessons, and if you aren’t local, you know where I’m going for trials and seminars. If you’d like to book a seminar, use the link to complete the request. The future holds a lot for Synergy Dog Sports. I am managing online groups for my current Dog Gone Fun Agility  students and soon, those groups will be available to everyone to enjoy discussion of course handling strategies, and for some online learning! My newest teaching tool is video analysis. I always have students come to me with problems that we just can’t simulate in practice. Video analysis gives me the ability to break down your trial runs into slow motion and really point out critical elements in your handling system.
Now, what else is new for me this year? Smack will be 5 in March. Where has the time gone? I can’t believe he’s all grown up — and he is! We are working more and more as a team, and I’m really in love with the way he’s running right now. In March, we are competing at the AKC National Agility Championship. In April, we are competing at the Continental Championship of Americas, and in May, we are competing at the International Team Tryouts and the Northwest Regional Championships. And that’s just the beginning of my year! WOW!
Also new in 2013: SEMINARS. I’m beginning to travel around the country to teach, and I’m very excited about that. Nervous, but excited.
I hope you find everything at SynergyDogSports to be informative, helpful, and insightful: I look forward to to the opportunities it will bring!
